Cost
Containment through Line Item Cost Control with The Aspen Group
R.
Keith Sinsel, founder and President of The Aspen Group,
is an industry leader in Cost Containment. He has 29 years experience
in Management and has held Vice President of several major companies
across the United States. Keith's no-nonsense approach to Cost,
Productivity and Accountability provides his clients with the
tools necessary to understand, analyze and develop plans to
address their business Cost issues.
For
many years, industry has focused on Safety, Cost, Productivity,
Availability and Product Quality in their attempt to obtain
the lowest unit cost. Too often, businesses become distracted
from a main contributor of achieving the lowest cost per unit
and concentrate only on total volume, errantly believing that
additional volume will maximize their profit objective. Whereas
volume is a major contributor in realizing lower unit cost,
in many instances, the spending required to obtain the additional
volume exceeds the return they expect. Accordingly, they realize
a decrease in cash flow from the increased productivity.
The
Aspen Group uses a process called L.I.C.C., Line Item Cost Control,
to lower the client's Cost. Most operations overspend between
2% and 6% regardless of volume. Obviously, this overspending
depletes cash very rapidly. L.I.C.C. allows the client to identify,
analyze and understand the detail of the excessive costs, then
develop plans to improve efficiencies and curtail the overspending.
Mr.
Sinsel's objective is to help the client become more successful
by identifying and addressing cost and productivity opportunities.
